Trouser Time

I should have taken myself down to Mc Donald's this morning. I would have fit right in with my Grandpa and his buddies sporting my old man pants and cardigan. Though, I think my lack of  knowledge of the weather channel and car batteries would have given my away....if not the fishnets.

Here are some looks for spring that reflect this feeling. This look is all about proportions, because there is so much fabric in the pant they need to be balanced by breaking up the bottom half. Fashion takes Flight has taken a vintage pair and added the great braided belt. Her pair have the lower set belt loops which allow the belt to sit lower on the pant and gives a more flattering look. Ive achieved this by wearing the belt below the belt loops. Rodarte's spring collection features these adorable little polka dot trousers with a contoured high waist and high ankle length, both beautifully balanced.

Black and White and Red Allover

I liked this outfit, nothing fancy but I really wanted to wear these cute little shoes I just picked up and I decided to go with a pretty basic color palette to make it easy. I love how black and white can work as a neutral acessory and I can see myself wearing these with all kinds of other combinations.

I love this necklace by Uncorked on Etsy. This specific one is not longer available but she has so many cool styles!

Charlotte working the camera. This is her third outfit today, 5 minutes after this she spilled spaghetti sauce down the front, which facilitated her fourth outfit change, coincidence? I think not.

Her new little buddy, Gina the Giraffe, her E-pet App, that you feed, water and play paddy cake. Who needs an annoying, slobbering, crying little sibling when you've got Gina?

A Feather in Time

All of these unimaginable things happening in Japan really have me thrown for a loop. The devastation that we are seeing played over and over in our media is beyond comprehension and my heart breaks for the Japanese people. What really strikes me and gives me hope for the future is the pride and dignity that is reflected in the their faces despite their dire situations. It has made me realize that every moment in our lives is fleeting. Ive tried to make a concerted effort to cherish each one because a single moment could change it all in a flash.
